Check raising in poker is more of a tactic, rather than a rule in poker, but in the past, check-raising was not allowed in certain poker rooms as it was thought to be dishonorable, because of it's inherent "trickiness" to it. "I mean if you're gonna bet, then just bet right? Don't wait for somebody else to bet, and then raise it again." Or so that is how some players thought of the tactic to be against the rules.

You might have heard the term CBet before in poker, but are unsure as to what it means exactly. A CBet isn't a poker rule, but it is a common strategy. Well a CBet stands for continuation bet which is when you bet on the flop after you had raised preflop, hence - the continuation. You are simply following up your own bet, with another bet. This is usually done to represent a strong hand.

Well there was a surprise update today at full tilt poker and okay that's nothing new, but this one included a new game called Rush Poker. One thing you can say what full tilt poker and that is they are always thinking about new ways to keep poker players interested and excited about playing.
